The Box Grove Association is a registered Rate Payers Association & Box Grove Community Centre Board. All residents are welcome to attend to learn about news in the Box Grove community and get involved.

Purpose: A forum to find out about community activities, events, new developments and means to connect with Town of Markham and fellow Box Grove Community Neighbours.

General Meeting: Box Grove Community Association elections to the Board of Directors               

BGCA Board election details: 

• The Board will be elected from among those residents at the AGM in January 2012 for a two year term.     
• A slate of candidates will be put forward comprised of existing Board members and nominations will be accepted from the floor.  
• While all Box Grove residents are eligible to be elected as Directors, consideration should be given to the slate of candidates for continuity and to residents who have demonstrated their community sprit by volunteering in community events. 
• There will be a maximum of 11 Directors elected
• Executive positions will be determined at the first meeting of the Board in February

Elected BGCA Board responsibilities:    

• Attend all scheduled BGCA board meetings    
• Actively participate and contribute to the BGCA Board meetings and Community Events  
• Lead one of the BGCA committees (ie. Annual Community Spring Clean Up, Neighbourhood Watch Program, Box Grove Community Festival, Website Communications, Road & Traffic, Parks & Business Developments)    
• Act as an Ambassador of BGCA to the Box Grove Community and represent the BGCA Board in public and community events
